How to Change a Bad Habit to a Good Habit
Bad habits are something which people keep on doing, even if they know that they are not good for them. As a result, they keep a man or a woman from the life they always dreamt of having. There are many bad habits that you may have. They can range for overspending to smoking. The one thing that all bad habits have in common is that you need to change them to move on and succeed in life. Although eliminating a bad habit is an achievement in itself, if you manage to replace it with a good habit, nothing can be better.
It will take a little hard work to change a bad habit into a good one, but in the end it will be well worth it. The process is gradual and starts by sorting out the triggers, changing the resultant action, and then introducing something better.

First, you need to note down the bad habits you have. You should list each and everything that you feel can be considered as a bad habit. It is best to have all of your bad habits written on paper so that you may confront them. To change a bad habit, you need to know what the habit actually is.

Take one bad habit at a time and closely examine it. As you examine each bad habit, think about what event triggers you to do this. An example of a trigger is that you smoke whenever you go to a bar.
There will also be bad habits that will have more than one triggers. For example, qvereating can have triggers depression and boredom. Once you know what triggers you to do something it will be much easier to change a bad habit. -

Choose another action to do when the trigger of bad habit comes up. In the previous example of smoking while being at a bar, there are many healthy actions that you can take to replace smoking. One action you can use to replace smoking would be to play pool. Every time you encounter the trigger of your bad habit, do this new action. Make it your main focus for 30 days and soon you will love it.

Now you can think about changing bad habits into new good habits. Did you stop smoking cigarettes? Now start exercising more. Did you stop drinking alcohol? Start volunteering more in your community.
