Sign into Yahoo Messenger by entering your Yahoo! ID and password.

Now, click the “Messenger” tab on left top corner of the Yahoo! Messenger’s main page.

Press the “My Contact Details” right below Yahoo! Insider. A separate window will be opened in front of you.

Once the new window is opened in front of you, enter your full name and nickname. Now, select the nickname that you want to display on Yahoo! Messenger. You can select any nickname that you like.

Once you entered your Yahoo Messenger display name, click on the “Save and Close” tab on the right bottom of the window. You have successfully changed your Yahoo! Display name.
