One of the most known methods is to use lemon and salt. Take a knife, cut half a lemon and sprinkle some salt over it. Stroke it on the damaged area of the pot. It helps in removing all the dirt and marks from the pan and gives it a cleaner look. After applying this, wash it with cold water and dry it.

The combination of lemon and baking soda also does the job. Put some baking soda on the pot directly. Then rub the half cut lemon over it. This will scorch off any marks or dirt from the surface. After you are done, wash it with cold water and dry it immediately. Also if you are short on lemons, use bottled lemon juice. Put it on a piece of cloth and rub it on the pot.

Another interesting treatment involves using toothpaste. Use a tooth brush which has soft bristles. Alternatively a soft cloth can also be used. Be sure to check the ingredients, it shouldn't have any bleach in it as that could harm the surface. Never forget to wash immediately after cleaning it.

Sometimes when you cook greasy foods, they remain stuck inside. Fill a sink with soapy water and let the pots sit in it for a night. With a fine cloth and soapy water rub the inside of the pan to remove grease. If you use a hard or rough material to clean the pots, the surface will be all scratched.
