How to Clean Stainless Steel Appliances
Stainless steel is manufactured by the combination of iron and chromium in correct percentages. The resultant steel has many advantages over the usual steel as it has the property of resisting the prospect of corrosion over the passage of time. Alongside its advantages, it also has the property that spoils its look with the passage of time. A little of chromium gets combined with the oxygen present in the atmosphere and forms a hard oxide coating on the surface of the steel. This unwanted process continues throughout the life of the steel and renders its properties feeble as time passes, converting into just the simple type of steel.

The first step that helps us clean the stainless steel appliances and in return increase its life is to wash it with water on a regular basis. This must be done using a cloth that is soaked in warm water. After washing and cleaning the stainless steel material, don’t forget to dry it. This must be done using a dry towel. If the job is tougher then you must use a mild detergent to the water but make sure that it does not destroy or damage the surface of the material.

After applying the olive oil to the material, we will again have to make sure that the material is rinsed after some time so that the object gains its original shine. Acid and food marks are also removed from the material if we use olive oil over them and rub the place with a cloth that is dipped with the oil. These marks which appear on the material are must to be removed as they tend to corrode the appliance with time if the marks are left to remain at the material. The removal of such materials will also help us to avoid discoloration of the material.
