How to Clean your Glass Stove Top
A glasstop stove adds a smooth and fresh look to your kitchen as long as it is clean and clear. Anything that burns on a glass stovetop is very hard to get off using regular cleaners or detergents. While daily cleaning can be easily done using a soapy water mixture, spillovers and burnt food needs special treatment. One can’t use even an abrasive cleanser since it would end up scratching the glass top. But you can accomplish the seemingly tough task using a few household items, that are always available in your pantry. Baking powder is one of the best home cleaner you can use to clean the ceramic glass stovetop.

– Baking Soda
– Sponge
– Soft cloth
– Paper towel
– Dish soap
– A specialized scraper for glass stovetops

First of all let the stovetop cool down completely. Once the burner has cooled down, you can begin cleaning without risking burns.

If the spill is thick, start by scraping away as much of the burnt food as possible. Use only a specialized scraper for glass stovetops, otherwise you may end up scratching the surface. For optimal scraping, keep the scraper at a 45-degree angle.

Once you have removed excess burnt food with the scraper, start the proper procedure by adding some dish soap or dishwashing detergent to a bowl full of hot tap water. Mix it well to get a soapy solution.

Dip the sponge in the bowl and get it wet.

Sprinkle an excess of dry baking soda all over the affected area.

Pull the sponge out of the hot soapy water and squeeze half of the solution out to make the baking soda soggy.

Let this soapy water and baking soda mixture stay for 15 minutes.

After fifteen minutes, swirl the sponge around in circles, using the baking soda paste as a gentle abrasive scrub.

Once all the stains are gone and you are satisfied with the condition of the stovetop, rinse it off using a wet cloth.
