How to Cleanse Your Body With Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

Both fruits and vegetables contain a variety of flavonoids, antioxidants, fiber, minerals and vitamins. All these ingredients are necessary for maintaining a healthy diet. Adding vegetables and fruits to your diet chart will not only provide your body vital nutrients, but will also speed up digestion. Fiber reduces constipation and normalizes your bowel functions, hence helping your system work optimally.

Eating raw vegetables and fruits ensures the highest amount of fiber intake, which plays a key role in flushing toxins and waste from your system. Maurice Shils, in his book titled “Modern Nutrition in Health and Disease”, claimed that raw carrots, cabbage, figs, peas, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, alfalfa sprouts, mung beans, radishes, plums, papaya, coconut and certain types of seaweed help lubricate intestines.

If you are also planning to cleanse your body, a refrigerator full of fresh fruits and vegetables is the key. After cleansing your body with fruits and vegetables, you will feel more healthy, fresh and full of energy.
