Spyware is a type of virus which provides your information to a third party without your permission. It invades on your system through the internet. Then, it tracks and stores your data to send it to a particular person who uses it for his own purpose. The most common types of spyware include Trojans, keyloggers, adware, system monitors and tracking cookies.
There are many programmes which you can use to remove spyware from your computer. However, in order to remove it completely, you may have to do some radical changes to your system.

First of all, restart your computer and press F8 before the Windows splash screen appears. It will give you some options to start up your Windows. You have to select the safe mode option. Please keep in mind that you should never select ‘Safe Mode with Networking’ because it will keep you connected to the internet and it will become really hard for you to remove the spyware from your computer. Furthermore, don’t select the option of ‘Safe Mode with Command Prompt’ as it is very difficult to use.

After running your system in safe mode, you have to remove the spyware manually. When your desktop appears in the safe mode, click the start button and go to the control panel and select the ‘Add or Remove’ option. It will show the list of all the programmes which have in your computer. The list may take few minutes to load, so be patient. After all the programmes appear in the list, you have to carefully search for the ones which are spyware so as to delete them from your computer. You will have to restart your computer to complete the removal process.

If you failed to remove the spyware from your computer by following the above steps, then you have to reinstall your windows so as to get rid of the malware software. Before, reinstalling the Windows, you must keep the backup of all your data in CDs and DVDs. Besides, you also have the option of keeping an online backup of your data. Moreover, you should make a new partition of your drives after formatting them completely in order to get rid of the spyware.
