Steps to Cook African Chicken

African Chicken, along with its lovely color the taste is also fantical and tremendous. The ingredients used in this recipe are very sensibly chosen to make this delicious cuisine different from rest of the chicken recipes.

Ingredients:
olive oil: 1 tablespoon
roasting chicken, deboned and cut into bite size pieces: 1
garlic, crushed: 2 cloves
onion, chopped: 1
large potato cut it in to cubes: 1
ground cumin: 1 teaspoon
ground coriander seed: 1 teaspoon
ground black pepper: 1 teaspoon
crushed red pepper flakes: 1 teaspoon
salt: 1 teaspoon
water: 1 cup
unsalted peanut butter: 3/4 cup
drained and rinsed garbanzo beans: 1 can

    The preparation of the recipe starts from the frying of the chicken. Take a pan and pour a moderate amount of oil in it so that you can shallow fry the chicken.

    Place the chicken in the pan and fry it until it gets brown.

    Remove the chicken from the pan and place it in a platter.

    In the same pan add garlic and onion along with potatoes. Fry them for approximately 2 to 3 minutes.

    Add herbs and spices in it starting from cumin, coriander, black pepper, red pepper and salt. Make sure the garlic does not get brown. Mix it well and then add the chicken in the pan.

    Pour water in the pan and the accumulated juices. Mix it again so that all the ingredients properly combine with each other.

    Place the lid over the pan and let it simmer for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

    After 20 minutes add peanut butter and garbanzo beans and mix it again.

    Again place the lid over the pan and let it simmer for further 15 minutes.

    Take a beautiful platter and serve the hot African Chicken with boiled rice to your guests.
