How to Cook Salmon and Asparagus

Combining salmon with a vegetable like asparagus is a healthy way to enjoy your meal. You can cook salmon and asparagus in a number of ways but it’s better to follow a dry-heat cooking method like baking to keep the fat level low. Salmon and asparagus complement each other very well but you can also add complimentary flavours to make your dish more tasty.

When baking Salmon and Asparagus in a preheated oven 95 per cent of the work is in the set up before you start any cooking.

Utensils: Cookie Sheet, Tin Foil, One small bowl, One good knife, Oven, Measuring spoons, Measuring Cups

Ingredients:
Salmon: l lb or 450 g
Organic asparagus: 1 package
Honey: ¼ cup
Soy Sauce: 4 teaspoons
Two garlic cloves
Ground Red Pepper: To taste
Paprika: To taste
Cinnamon: To taste
Cloves: To taste

    Make honey soy sauce

    Take a bowl, mix ¼ cup of honey and four teaspoons of soy sauce. Add Cloves, Ground Red Pepper, Cinnamon and Paprika to it. Mince and add two garlic cloves as well to this concoction and stir well to make all the seasonings mix well in honey and soy sauce.

    Marinate salmon in honey soy sauce

    Place the salmon in a flat plate so it face lie up (skin down). Pour the sauce over the salmon. After a moment flip the salmon upside down. Let the salmon marinate in the sauce for 20 minutes.

    Season asparagus

    Chop off the ends of one package asparagus and coat them with olive oil. Sprinkle salt and paprika or any of asparagus seasonings of your preference.

    Get ready for baking

    With the help of a tin foil, make two sections in the cookie sheet, one for salmon and the other for asparagus.

    Note: Place the salmon on the cookie sheet with the skin side down.

    It’s time to bake

    Once both the items are on the tray, place it in an oven preheated at 400 degrees and bake the items for 10 to 15 minutes.
