How To Create a Curly Evening Hairdo Using Curling Iron

If you have to attend a party or a function on a short notice and do not have time for a proper hairdo, you can style your hair casually in a way that will not take much time.

Loose curls are probably the simplest to sport, and all you need for a curly evening hairdo is a curling iron, a hair spray and a few glittery clips. A curling iron rod is a must in every women’s beauty kit, allowing a quick hairdo within a few minutes. Moreover, it is very easy to use and does not require any special skills or procedures. Using the curling iron, you can easily curl your hair and tousle them in a style that adds volume and height.

Things Required:

– Curling iron
– Hair brush
– Hairspray
– Fancy hair clips
– Heat protection serum

Instructions

  • 1

Turn on your curling iron and heat it to a temperature suitable for your hair texture (320 degrees for fine hair and 430 degrees for thick and healthy hair). However, it is recommended to start with the lowest temperature that can make your hair form curls.

  • 2

While the curling iron is heating, brush your hair properly with a wide brush to ensure that there are no tangles. Also blow dry if there are any patches of damp hair.

  • 3

Apply a heat protection serum on your hair. The serum will form a buffer between your hair and the iron rod, preventing any damage at high temperatures.

  • 4

Separate your hair into 2 to 3 inch wide sections and clip them on your head using bobby pins.

  • 5

Open the curling iron's barrel and wrap your section of hair around it until the curling rod rests near your scalp. Do not touch the curling iron to your scalp, it will burn your skin.

  • 6

Hold it in this position for almost ten seconds. Unroll your hair and let them fall freely.

  • 7

Repeat this procedure on all the sections of your hair, until all of your hair have been curled.

  • 8

Loosely tousle the curls with soft fingers and use moderate hairspray to style them further.
