How to Create Signature in Outlook
Microsoft Office Outlook is one the best email applications around these days. As is the case with most email applications, Outlook enables you to create a personalised email signature which is automatically added to the bottom of every email that you send using this programme. Creating an email signature in Outlook is really simple and does not take more than a couple of minutes. To the signature, information such as the sender’s name, designation, name of the company and a disclaimer can be added.

Launch Microsoft Office Outlook and allow a brief moment for the programme to load completely.

Click the ‘Tools’ button and then click ‘Options’ from the drop-down menu which appears. Outlook will pop up a dialogue box captioned ‘Options’.

Click the ‘Mail Format’ button on the ‘Options’ dialogue box. Under the ‘Mail Format’ tab, you will see a button labelled ‘Signatures’. Click that button and another dialogue box captioned ‘Signatures and Stationery’ will appear on the screen. This is where you will be creating the email signature.

Click the ‘New’ button under the ‘Select signature to edit’ section of the ‘Signatures and Stationery’ dialogue box. In the dialogue box which appears, type in the desired name and click ‘OK’.

Type in the desired signature under the ‘Edit signature’ section of the Signatures and Stationery’ dialogue box. When you have typed in the desired signature, make formatting changes if required. You can change text colour, font, size and alignment. Furthermore, you can add an image to the signature as well as a hyperlink if required.

When you have typed in the desired signature, click the ‘Save’ button under the 'Select signature to edit’ section of the ‘Signatures and Stationery’.

If you have configured more than one email account in Outlook, it is important to designate which account you want to use this signature. For this, select the desired email account from the ‘Email account’ drop-down menu located under the ‘Choose default signature’ section of the ‘Signatures and Stationery’ dialogue box.
