How to Cut Out a Picture in Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is the most extensively used photo editing software. It is widely used by professional photographers, graphic designers and web developers around the world. Moreover, it also used by regular users who can create different kinds of graphics, web pages and can edit their pictures as per their requirements.
Cutting out pictures is not very difficult in Photoshop, as there are several tools which you can use to cut images according to your need. The most commonly used tools include the Magic Wand Tool, the Magnetic Lasso Tool and the Quick Mask.

Magic Wand Tool
It is mostly used for simple picture manipulation and is quite easy to use. It is usually used for the pictures which contain simple background colours or gradient backgrounds. In order to open the magic wand, you will have to click ‘W’ after opening Photoshop on your computer. Then, click on the background of the image. The selection area will appear on your screen. If you are content with the selection, just click ‘Delete’ to cut the picture. If you want to make any changes in the selection, you can simply drag the magic wand to your desired place to cut the image accordingly. -

Magnetic Lasso Tool
If there is a considerable difference between the background and the object of the image, you can use magnetic lasso tool to cut your picture. Just click on ‘L’ after opening the image which you want to edit in Photoshop. Now, click around the object which you want to cut from the image. If you want reverse the selection of your image, you can simply click ‘CTRL + SHIFT + i”. You can also create a line with the help of the magnetic lasso tool. To finalise your editing, press ‘Delete’ after making the selection. -

Quick Mask
To use the quick mask tool, press ‘Q’ after opening the picture which you want to edit. Now, press ‘B’ in order to open the Brush Tool. Apply colour to the area which you want to cut out of the picture. Now, press on ‘Q’ again and click ‘Edit in Standard Mode’ icon. You will be able to see the selection area, just click ‘Delete’ on your keyboard to cut the image.
