How hungry are you for fitness?

Before you join a gym, you need to ask yourself how hungry you are to achieve your fitness objectives. Working out in a gym can be quite a demanding task and requires a lot of dedication. Most people give up on the idea after a few days as picking up weights regularly can test your physical as well as mental strength. You would be able to achieve success in gym only if you are passionate about fitness and are ready to come out your comfort zone.

    Distance from home

If the gym is not close to your home and you have to travel a great deal to reach there, chances are high that you will not be able to work out regularly. In such a scenario, you should look to try out some other activities like jogging, swimming or cycling and wait for a gym to open up in your locality.

    Your body type

If you are too skinny, then gym is not the right place for you because you may end up losing more weight. In this situation, you should work hard on your diet and gain weight so that you may work out in gym in future and can shape up your muscles.

Similarly, if you are overweight, you will not be able to workout efficiently. Through jogging and dieting, you should first lose weight before joining a gym.

    Gym fee

If you are living on a tight budget, it would probably be wise for you to exercise in a park or regularly do push ups and sit-ups instead of joining a gym, which will require you to pay fees.
