Large clogged pores on nose and cheeks is the biggest issue people with oily skin face all through their lives. Clogged pores can form for a number of reasons, but they are often the result of a build-up of sebum, sweat and dirt. Though they can develop anywhere on your body, the face is where they are most often seen. These pores make your skin rough and dull, and if not treated properly, they can lead to problems like unwanted blemishes, acne and blackheads. Though it is impossible to get rid of these pores, proper skin care can unclog them, removing the unsightly brown plug.

There are various ways to clean up the clogged pores, but the most effective way to clean these large clogged facial pores and make your skin look brighter and more youthful is deep cleansing. There are quite a few methods to deep clean pores, from steaming to mud masks to exfoliation and pore strips. If your skin is also prone to clogging then it is recommended you use face cleansing and exfoliation more frequently.

Things Required:

– Facial cleanser
– Facial scrub or natural exfoliant
– Facial mask
– Water
– Moisturizer

Instructions

  • 1

Cleanse your face twice a day

Wash your face with a soap free cleanser in the morning and before going to bed at night. This keeps sebum secretions from building up on your skin. However, do not wash your face more than twice, this will dry out your skin.

  • 2

Exfoliate your nose twice a week

Exfoliate your nose and other areas with clogged pores, like chin and cheeks, twice a week. Exfoliation will remove dead skin cells and oil from the nose. Apply any natural exfoliant, like brown sugar or oatmeal, on your face and scrub gently in small circles. Wash your face first with lukewarm water.

    Steam after you exfoliate

Steaming will open up your skin allowing you to unclog the dirt, oil and dead cells that may have accumulated in your pores. Fill a large bowl with hot water. Drape a towel over your head from behind to form a tent. Hold your face five or six inches above the bowl and allow the steam to penetrate your skin for five to ten minutes. Extract blackheads by using the tips of your index finger on each hand. Press the tips of your fingers on either side of the blackhead; however, avoid pressing too hard.

    Apply facial mask

In the end, apply a cleansing facial mask on the treated areas of your face. The mask will help close the newly cleansed nose pores and make them appear smaller. Also this will make them less prone to clogging in the future. Wash off the face mask with gentle soap and water and pat dry with a soft towel. Apply a mild moisturizer to discourage oil and dead cell accumulation in the pores after cleansing.
