Every year, county fairs are held in different parts of the world, showcasing rides, carnival-style games and different types of food items that you do not find on any other occasion. If fried Oreo cookies are something you list in your special purchases at a county fair, then there is a good news for you.
Ingredients
- Milk - 1 cup
- Egg - 1 large
- Oreo cookies
- Cooking oil
- Pancake mix
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- First of all, you need to take Oreo cookies and place them in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- This will prevent them from crumbling or melting when you will deep fry them.
- Now you need to decide which cooking oil you would like to use to fry Oreo cookies.
- Like many other people, you can also use vegetable oil for this purpose.
- However, if you are looking to give your cookies a different taste, then you can consider using peanut or almond oil.
- Take a deep fryer and pour the selected oil in it, before turning it on.
- Let it reach 375 degrees Fahrenheit temperature.
- Take pancake mix, milk, egg and 2 tablespoons of oil and mix them well in a large sized bowl.
- Keep mixing to form a batter, with good consistency and a smooth texture.
- Now take out Oreo cookies from the refrigerator and start coating them with the batter.
- Make sure that the cookies are completely covered with batter.
- Drop the coated cookies into the deep fryer and fry them for one minute.
- Flip them and once again fry them for around one minute, before using a skimmer to take them out from the oil.
- Sprinkle the cookies with powdered sugar and allow them to cool completely.
