How to Develop Fine Motor Skills
You can develop motor skills in children through some basic skill activities at your home. The work is done more as a therapeutic solution, and is efficient in developing movements in the children. This improves level of maturity in children’s nervous system and then gradually helps them learn faster and their brain starts working efficiently. The important thing is you take out some time and perform basic skill exercises with the kids.

Finger Painting
Finger painting fun is a way to develop motor skills in children. Select a portion of your house, either in driveway or any other place near the wall. Then pin a large paper on the wall and let your children create an art piece with the use of their fingers only. Do not let them use brush or any other painting tool, they should have fun while creating the piece only with hands. -

Paper Dolls
Another good alternative exercise is to let your children play with paper dolls. Let them cut pieces of paper and put them together through different solutions. This will make them play on and on while they try to figure out the process. It is a great way to let your children be consumed by work, and this will increase their brain working efficiency. -

String Games
Children of age around four to five find it fun to play with string games. If you yourself do not know about these games, search them online first and then play with your children. This is a good practice exercise and helps your children get immersed into the work. -

Thread Work
Some basic thread work is also an effective way to let your children learn new things. For example, you can pick some beads and give your children thick thread or string made of any other material. Get them into making necklaces and some other jewelry designs. This is good fun for them and they can take the task very challenging. -

Puzzles
Puzzles or puzzle games is a great way to let your children develop fine motor skills. Start with putting some basic puzzle games in your children's room, and they can quickly find fun in doing the job. This is very encouraging for them as far as their education is concerned. This a good way to develop their learning skills. However, do not let them get consumed by the puzzle work only because they should do some physical activity as well.
