    Candle Method:

Add 10 to 20 drops of the desired essential oil to a small bowl made of ceramic. If you want the aroma to be stronger, consider adding more essential oil to the bowl.

Essential oils are quite expensive. If you do not want to use too much essential oil, but still want to produce a strong aroma, consider adding 1 tbsp. of a vegetable oil, such as grape seed oil, to the essential oil. After you have added grape seed oil to the ceramic bowl containing the essential oil, swirl the bowl very gently so that both the essential and vegetable oils blend with each other.

Cover your hands with a pair of latex gloves. If your skin is allergic to latex, use a pair of plastic gloves instead. With the tips of your fingers, rub the oil mixture in the ceramic bowl onto the entire length of a candle. Secure the candle in a candle holder and set it aside for about an hour.

Light the candle. As the candle wax starts to melt, the essential oil aroma will start diffusing in the room in which the candle is placed.

    Hot Water Method:

Fill half a kettle with distilled water. If distilled water is not available, you can use simple tap water. Put the kettle on a lit stove and wait for the water to come to a boil. As soon as the water starts boiling, turn off the heat and set the kettle aside.

Place a ceramic bowl in the middle of a towel and add 10 to 20 drops of essential oil to the bowl.

Pour in a small amount of water from the kettle. Make sure that the water is not boiling hot because if it is, you will end up scalding the essential oils. Steam will start rising, diffusing essential oil aroma along with it.
