How to Disable Yahoo Chat and Mobile Text
With Yahoo chat, you can easily stay in touch with your friends all the time. Especially, the mobile feature has made things more interesting. There is no question over the worth of Yahoo Chat and Mobile Text, but it becomes slightly annoying sometimes.

First of all, you need to that you are connected to the internet. Open your browser, and navigate to the Yahoo Mail website. Sign into your account after that.

On the top right side of the page, you will find the ‘Options’ menu. Click ‘Mail Options’.

Mail Options has multiple features. A list of relevant options will appear on the left side of the page. Choose ‘General’.

Now, it is time to uncheck the box that says "Enable Connection-related features (Messages, Suggestions, Updates).”

After deselecting the check box option, push the ‘Save’ button. As soon as you apply the changes, options such as updates, messages or suggestions by Yahoo Mail will be disabled.

To shut the Yahoo Chat and Mobile Text down, you need to make a few very simple moves. First of all, open Yahoo Mail, and sign into your personal account.

The page has a separate chatting section. At the left of the screen, you will find the option ‘I am’. There is an arrow right next to the text. Click the down arrow, and choose ‘Sign out of Chat’. Consequently, Yahoo Chat & Mobile Text will be turned off.

The final step is to make these settings permanent. For this, click ‘Hide’ that is next to ‘Chat & Mobile Text’. By choosing the ‘Hide’ option, you have permanently turned the option off. Remembering your settings, Yahoo Mail will not show Chat & Mobile Text box every time you sign in.
