How to Disarm Someone with a Pistol
There is no denying the fact that the world is not a safe place to live in. Unfortunately, some people become aware of this bitter reality through some terrifying experience, like getting attacked by someone with a pistol. In many cases, the assailant will make such a move only when they are sure that there is nobody nearby to rescue you, thus eliminating the option of calling for help. As a result, you can only do one of two things, give in to the person’s demands or fight back.
If you have chosen to go with the second option, then the first thing that you need to do is to disarm your attacker. This move is full of risk, but it is a chance that you simply must take.
Things Required:
– Cell-phone

1
Get a grip over yourself. It is natural to feel overwhelmed by fear and panic when someone points a pistol at you but giving in to your emotions and doing something irrational will lead to some undesirable consequences. If you start panicking and react without thinking, your attacker may pull the trigger. You should try to remain calm and keep your head clear. Analyse the situation and consider your options. If you are going to be fighting back, prepare yourself both mentally and physically for it. Make sure you maintain eye contact with your assailant.

2
Once you are ready to make your move, swiftly spread your legs and twist your body to build power as you hit the attacker’s hand with as much force as you can, driving it straight towards their body. Do it in a quick motion so that he/she does not get any time to react.

3
While the attacker is still recovering from the previous hit, grip the hand with which they are holding the pistol and thrust the elbow of your free arm into their jaw.
-
4
Attempt to wiggle the pistol out of their hand as they try to figure out what hit them. If they still maintain a strong grip on the weapon, hit them in the jaw with your elbow once again. Try using even more force this time and attempt to shake the pistol out of their hand again. If they continue to stubbornly hold on to it, hit them in the jaw three to four times more, this time with the intended motivation of knocking them unconscious.

Once the attacker falls to the ground, grab the gun and keep it pointed towards them as you quickly take out the cell-phone from your pocket and call the police. If the attacker tries to make a move, fire a shot at the ground to prove that you will not hesitate to shoot him/her in case you have to.
