First, you need to practice your skating. Do this on a flat surface and learn how to build pace and how to slow down. Once you have learned this, practice doing jumps off flat grounds. Slowly increase the distance and height of your jumps. This will help you adjust to jumping and landing on your skates without falling.

Roll forward and pick up the pace. Start off at a low pace and then slowly start building up your speed as you look to push yourself and go faster.

  • 3

Now once you have gone on to pick up a decent amount of pace, crouch down low. This will reduce wind resistance and will make you go even faster.

Once you are going as fast as you possibly can, you need to prepare yourself to jump up. After you are ready to jump, go ahead and leap up in the air.

Once you are in the air start twisting yourself. Do so in a very quick and fluid manner, since you want to twist as much as you possibly can without landing awkwardly.

After the spin has been completed, prepare to land on the floor. Land in the same direction that you started off in and make sure your knees are bent when you are landing. Try to adjust your pace and direction almost immediately after landing, since you don’t want to fall over and hurt yourself.
