How to Do a Cross Leg Turn on Rollerblades

Do you love doing tricks on rollerblades? All youngsters do, but they can hurt themselves, if they are not properly trained. Therefore, the best thing is to practice hard and be aware of how to control the rollerblades before actually going into experimentation mode.

There are numerous things you can do on rollerblades, but youngsters are attracted to those tricks which make them look cool. If you are able to balance yourself properly, you can perform a lot of tasks on the rollerblades including the cross leg turn.

    Improve your balance

    The first thing you have to practice is balancing your body on the rollerblades. If you are unable to do that, you will take a heavy tumble and could end up hurting yourself at the end of the day. Therefore, start off slowly and never look to increase the speed on the blades. You should also no try experimenting, if you are an amateur. Simply go into a straight line and make sure there is no traffic around.

    Speed up

    After days of practice, you will be able to improve your balance and will start feeling in control of the things on the rollerblades. This is the time you should focus on improving the speed on the rollerblades. However, make sure you take things one by one rather than taking a huge leap straight away. If you spend more time in practice, you will be able to achieve perfection like a professional.

    Lean to the left

    After getting control over things, you can now start practicing the cross leg turn. For this, you will need to lean towards the left in such a way that you can take a turn. Slowly, move towards the left, so that you don’t fall.

    Position your right foot

    Now, move your right foot in front and start moving it more towards the right, so that you start turning.

    Position your left foot

    You will have to position your left foot correctly too otherwise you will be unable to move in the right position. So, keep your left foot behind and move it towards the left, when you are turning.

    Lift your right foot and repeat step 4

    You will have to lift your right foot and repeat the step number four.

    Lift your left foot and repeat step 5

    Similarly, lift your left foot and repeat the fifth step to complete your move.
