GKR is the one of the most practiced karate blocks which is taught around the world. It is a little bit complicated, but you can learn it from the given steps.

First of all, you have to join a good karate school. Even though, it is not compulsory for you to join a particular school to learn karate, however, schooling helps a lot in learning things quickly and in better way. If you can’t find any school near your house, you can take help of a tutor.

After joining the school, you have to make yourself physically and mentally fit for all kinds of moves. It is very important for you to make you body flexible before attempting the GKR block.

In order to perform GKR karate block, you have to keep your hands open and grasp your prevailing hand in order to level it with your shoulder. Then, place your other hand just below your hip bone. It is very important for you to make sure that none of your hands touch your body.

Now, move your hands around so that they face the side ways. For instance, if your right hand is prevailing, you will sway it to right and your left hand will sway up.

Then, swing both your hands in the same direction. Make sure that one hand is in your face and the other one is just below your groin.

Bring both your hands together in order to fold them with your prevailing hand on the inside. After that, slide your hands down so that the prevailing hand is just before your face once again. You arms should be in a complete circle.

Now, put your hands on the sideways again and repeat the move with your prevailing hand at the bottom. After that, pull a little in and then push it out.
