How to do Greek Shift Card Trick
The Greek shift unlike all the other card tricks is a way to control a number of cards and shift them on the top or bottom of the deck. By shifting cards in this way you seem to bring in a little more fancy touch in your performance. This trick actually enhances your performance whether you are playing or showing a trick! In other words, you control a number of cards and shift it with the help of your fingers using one hand only instead of two and it looks facinating. However, you have to make a break between the selected cards and the rest of the deck. You simply divide the deck in two parts and interchange their positions. This may seem to be difficult initially but as you will practice it will be easier to perform.
Instructions
-
1
Hold the deck in your hand and while holding just make sure that you have your middle and ring finger at the bottom of one horizontal side of the deck and thumb on the top of other horizontal side.
-
2
The other thing you have to ensure while holding the deck that your index finger and the pinky is on the opposite sides of the deck.
-
3
Now loosen up some grip on the deck by pushing your thumb a little bit upwards so that you have a portion of the deck fall in between your thumb and index finger.
-
4
Once you have made the cut, try controlling the cards with the help of your pinky at the bottom or else the cards will fall off your hand.
-
5
Now curl your index finger inwards to apply pressure on the separated part of the deck in order to push it up the deck.
-
6
As you will continue to curl the index finger upwards that will bring the bottom part of the deck upwards thus bringing the upper portion down.
