How to Dye Clothes in a Tub

Things you will need:

– Cloth you want to dye
– 1 tablespoon Rit dye (increase the quantity for deeper shades and decrease for lighter ones)
– 1.5 Gallon Tub of water
– Spare metal rod for stirring

    Put on your hand gloves. Direct contact with the dye can not only color your skin but also expose you chemical harm.

    In a tub of water mix the dye. Mix well so that you have an even color. Soak your clothes in another tub. When thoroughly wet, shift them from that tub to the dye one.

    Stir the clothes for more then twenty minutes with the metal rod. Remove when you feel the dye has settled in. Remove them and rinse in warm water. Lower the water temperature gradually from warm to cold.
