Karate is a martial art which was developed in Japan at the Ryukyu Islands, now known as Okinawa. It is a striking art which involves knee strikes, kicking, punching, elbow strikes and some open hand manoeuvres e.g. palm-heel strikes, spear-hands and knife-hand.
If you have learnt karate and have managed to earn some belts in it, you can pursue your career as a karate teacher. Furthermore, you can take part in various competitions around the world and above all, you can use your talent for your self defence against any kind of adversary.

First of all, you have to know the belt ranking system in karate. It is not a rocket science and is merely a gauge of progress which you make on well-defined benchmarks to achieve perfection. Although, the process of earning belts in karate is not so difficult or complex, but you have to prepare yourself for high physical and mental exertion which is compulsory for it.

After preparing your mind, you should find a good school or institution which trains people for karate. You should select a school which is near your house so you can go their easily. In addition, you will have to know the schedule of classes so that you can manage all your other activities with it.

Most of the karate schools require you to fulfill some particular requirements to earn belts. The requirements mainly include the level of physical fitness, attendance and performance. It is to be noted that sometimes you also need to attain certain scholarships or to perform some community services to earn belts.
