How to Enable JavaScript on an Android Phone

Most Webpages are written in the HTML language with some features of JavaScript in it. HTML is a markup language designed for creating static Webpage content. Whereas JavaScript is a programming language that is used to make web pages interactive. It is like software that is installed on the computer that does not require constant internet access for its working. There are many versions of JavaScript available for different environments. For example JavaScript for a windows computer will be different from the JavaScript for an Android smart phone or tablet.

JavaScript allows adding many functions such as polls and quizzes to the Webpages and if you do not have the JavaScript enabled on your Android cell phone or tablet you may not be able to access those features on the Website.

Some websites such as Facebook may not work properly in the browser if JavaScript is missing or it’s outdated. Most internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Safari install the JavaScript automatically and regularly check for its updates.

However, if some web pages do not work properly in your Android Internet browser while some of them do, the most probable reason is that the JavaScript in your Android has been disabled.

So here is a step by step guide on how to enable JavaScript on an Android Phone or Tablet.

Instructions

Tap the main menu icon and then open the Apps (Applications) tab. Here find the browser icon; in some versions of Android it will be called Internet.
