How to End a Bad Date Nicely
There is always a certain level of anxiety involved in going out with someone for the first time. The expectations are huge and so is the determination to make a good impression from the start of the date to its end. This is true even for a date that did not turn out to be too great. Rather than being blunt and insensitive, one needs to be both graceful and respectful while ending a bad date.
If you find yourself stuck on a date with someone who is boring you to death, or is a type of person you certainly do not want to start a relationship with, then be tactful as you close out the meet.

1
If you are certain that you cannot endure the presence of your date any longer, excuse yourself to go to the bathroom and call up a friend. Quickly explain the entire situation to him/her and ask them to give you a call in five-to-ten minutes so that you can feign an emergency and use it as an excuse to leave.
Be sure to give your date an idea of what the emergency is about so that he/she does not feel that you are ditching him/her. If they do not have their own ride, offer to drop them home as that is just common courtesy. -
2
If there is no chemistry between you and your date, be honest about it. Let them know that even though you think they are really nice and you liked meeting them, you do not see yourself going out with them again. Be sure to tell them that it is not their fault that you feel this way. If they have something to say, hear them out.

When you drop your date home, do not give him/her a kiss or even a hug. A handshake should be good enough, as it indicates that you wish them well, but do not see yourself going out on another date. Let your body language convey the message instead of actually saying the words out loud.
