How to Enhance Old Photos using an iMac
If you have recently purchased a new iMac and do not have any idea about what application to use to edit and enhance your images, then you have reached the right place, as this article will talk about the way by which you can enhance your pictures in iMac.
Every iMac comes with a software program called iPicture, which is Apple Inc.’s photo management software program. After you upload your photos in your iMac, iPhoto organises all of them, as per your preferences. You can use iPhoto to crop, add different effects and enhance your pictures many other tools.

Navigate to your “Applications” folder and double click on the “iPhoto” icon to run the application.

You can then select the image, which you want to enhance, from your library and double click on it. It will open the image in the main window. You can then press the “Edit” button, appearing at the bottom of the program window, which will open the edit options.

If you want to change the orientation of your image, then you will have to click the “Rotate” button. You can rotate the image clockwise or anti-clockwise, as per your needs.

If you feel that the image contains excessive area, then you can click the “Crop” button, to access the crop options. You can use any of the predefined sizes or you can also use the adjustment tabs to select particular frame to crop your image. You can click the “Apply” button to delete excessive area outside the adjustment window.

You can the press the “Enhance” button, which will automatically adjust the overall colour, brightness and contrast level of your image.

Click the “Effects” tool button to get access to different effect tools available. You can try different tools from the effects menu, to enhance the overall look of your image. Once you are done with apply your desired effects, you can click the “X” icon appearing at the top of the menu to return back to the main editing menu.

You can also use the “Retouch” tool to enhance your image. Just click the “Retouch” tool and adjust the size of the tool. You can then press and hold left mouse key and drag the tool over the areas which you want to retouch. Once you are done with using the tool, click the “X” icon appearing at the top of the menu to return back to the main editing menu.

After you are done with editing and enhancing the overall look of your image, click the “Done” button, at the bottom of the application window.
