How to Enjoy a Memorable Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is indeed very special because on this day people celebrate the strongest and most powerful emotion in this world – love. If you have a special someone in your life, you may want to let him/her know just how special he/she is to you.

You can also share the spirit of the most romantic day of the year with your children, parents, teachers and others by giving them a Valentine’s Day card or a small token of love and appreciation. However, a truly memorable Valentine’s Day will surely be the one that you spend with your significant other, expressing your feelings and celebrating your love and bond.

Instructions

  • 1

First you need a unique Valentine’s Day card for your partner. Visit a few shops to find the perfect card for your loved one. The card should contain hearts and other symbols related to Valentine’s Day such as flowers, birds, cupid, etc. Make the card even more lovey dovey by filling it up with a romantic message.

  • 2

Buy a gift for your beloved in advance and then give it to him/her on Valentine’s Day. Try to make the moment even more special by planning it ahead of time and surprising your beloved when he/she least expects it. Reveal the gift to him/her during a romantic dinner or by hiding it in their cupboard, pocket or purse.

  • 3

You can take your partner out for lunch or dinner to their favourite restaurant as well. Try to choose a restaurant that is not too crowded, so that you two have plenty of privacy and can talk without worrying about people around you.

  • 4

If you have kids, share the spirit of Valentine’s Day with them by getting them a unique Valentine’s Day card or giving them a gift such as a teddy bear or a box of heart-shaped chocolates.

  • 5

Get a bouquet and chocolates for your partner. Chocolates have become associated with Valentine’s Day over the years and therefore your celebration of love will remain incomplete without them.

  • 6

Make a CD of your beloved’s favourite love songs and bundle it with the chocolates and Valentine’s Day card that you have bought. Tie the three things together with a red ribbon and add a red rose to the bundle to complete it.

  • 7

If you had taken your beloved out to lunch, have a candlelight dinner with them at home. Have romantic songs playing in the background to setup the perfect environment.

  • 8

Try to spend as much alone time with your loved one on Valentine’s Day as possible. Turn your cell-phone to silent and switch off the TV set to give your complete attention to the person who means the world to you. He/she may know how much you love him/her, but everyone likes a reminder once in a while.

Send a bouquet of roses to your partner's office to let him/her know that he/she is in your thoughts even when the two of you are away.
