Instructions

    Exfoliate

The first step to even out your skin tone is daily exfoliation, which removes dead skin cells and oil from your face. If you do not exfoliate your skin regularly, it will not only look dull, but will also form dark patches.

In a small bowl, mix one tablespoon of brown sugar and one tablespoon of almond oil. Mix the exfoliator thoroughly and then apply on your face using fingertips. Gently massage the scrub into your skin in a circular motion. Keep on scrubbing for five minutes and then rinse the exfoliator off with lukewarm water. Wash your face with cold water and apply a mild moisturiser.

    Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is very effective in reducing any dark pigmentation on your skin. Cut a regular sized lemon into half and squeeze the juice from one half into a small bowl. Dip a cotton ball into the lemon juice and dab on the affected areas of your skin. Let it sit for at least five minutes and wash off. If you have oily skin, do not rinse. For optimal results apply lemon juice on your face thrice a week.

    Turmeric scrub

In a small mixing bowl, combine turmeric powder, ground almonds and buttermilk to form a smooth paste. Gently rub this paste on your face daily for 3 to 5 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. This scrub will make your skin clear and bright.
