How to Find a Good Martial Arts Instructor
There are a number of reasons that could be leading a person to find a good martial arts instructor ranging from self-defence, impressing that girl in the gym or going on to UFC.
Many gyms claim to be best at teaching one martial arts, however, that does mean that one should believe them. Before selecting a martial arts teacher you should factor in a few things.

The first and most logical thing to do is to search for schools on the internet. Enter the keywords, ‘Jackie Chan Martial Arts School’. If you get a hit on those keywords then we advise to write them down on a piece of paper and never go there. It is probably some cheap sod who is trying to use the legendary action star’s name to trick people into joining.

Instead look for dojos and karate schools in China, Japan and Korea. These are where the martial arts teachers are actually sitting. Look for reputable schools that have some decent reviews.
-
3
Do not just look at how many black belts and tournament fights the master has won but also look to see if his name ranks as a true martial arts instructor. This is of vital importance as the training techniques, although unorthodox really bring out the essence of karate and martial arts.

You will also need to find a hotel or motel where you can book a few nights to stay. We recommend making it a family vacation for a month or two. Not only will the entire family be trained in the arts of self-defence but it will also prove to be a nice bonding experience.

Do not waste your time on karate schools if you are not in China, Korea or Japan as they lack the authenticity and true spirit of martial arts.
