How to Fix 1015 iPhone Error, Overview
Error 1015 occurs whenever you try to restore or downgrade the existing firmware to an older version such as 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. This type of error occurs on your iphone 3G and 3Gs of other brands. It usually happens when you are almost done with the downgrade or restore process and are going to reboot your iDevice. This error is not something that is out of the ordinary and can be fixed easily.

Get rid of iPhone Error 1015using Windows:
First of all you need to save Cydia or TinyUmbrella before embarking on the downgrade or restoration process. In case your downgrade or restoration process is working perfectly fine, then you do not need to continue with rest of the process, otherwise follow the steps below;
- You have to download Quickpwn and place its icon on your desktop.
- Now go to C: \Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support and make a new folder with the name of “bin.”
- Cut all the wp-content/uploads located in the Mobile Device Support folder and - paste them to the folder created with the name of “bin”.
- You need to extract the file that was earlier downloaded named Quickpwn, and then double click the pineapple icon in the fourth row of your window screen.
- Once the Apple logo becomes visible on your phone, close Quickpwn and disconnect your phone from the computer as soon as possible.
- Now the error has been removed and your iPhone will function normally with the older version of iOS firmware. One thing that should be kept in mind is that whenever you try to sync your phone again with iTunes, go to C: \Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin and copy and paste all the wp-content/uploads to Mobile Device support folder. Then delete the bin folder. -

While using Mac OS, you can fix iPhone error 1015 with the help of steps given below;
- Download iRecovery for MAC OSX.
- In order to run the terminal iRecovery, extract the archive first.
- Type the string given below;

cd desktop
./iRecovery -s
setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
/exit
- You need to reboot the device while holding down the power and home button. Now you will be able to get rid of this error and previous firmware will run on your iDevice. -
