How to Fix a Disk Error on a Toshiba Laptop

Click the ‘Tools’ to get another window of different options. Push the ‘Check Now’ button that is right under the heading of Error Checking. -

It is the time to click "Scan For and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors". Clicking on the check box will initiate the disk checking process. This process will fix the errors by locating the bad sectors, plus recover readable files.

You need to click ‘Yes’ to kick off the procedure. Once it is completed, restart your Toshiba laptop. The computer will not start as it normally does.
You will see a three-stage automatic error check, when the computer goes for booting. Let the checking go ahead. This may take several minutes, depending on the size of your hard drive. -
