It will be better if you get a small ratcheting tie down strap for the next step. However, a piece of rope will be equally effective in a pinch.

  • 3

Wrap up the strap or rope around the middle of the tire and start tightening it up until the tire rims are pressing firmly against the wheel rims of the vehicle.

If you see the tire coming out of the wheel, examine it to see if it has any hole within it. If no gaping hole is found, it is all good and you will now need the tire inflator to pump air into the tire.

  • 5

Inflate the tire until it touches the rim with a pop sound and you better loosen up the strap after the tire is sealed to the rim.

  • 6

Press more air into the tire and keep loosening up the strap. You have to inflate the tire until the suggested PSI value of it. This figure is normally written on the sidewall of the tire. When the air pressure reaches the mentioned PSI value, take off the strap from the tire.
