How to Frame a Diploma
Diplomas are awarded by universities and educational institutes to certify the completion of a particular course or training by an individual. Given its importance, a diploma should be protected against wear and tear and one of the best ways to accomplish this is to frame it. This is a very easy task because everything you will need is readily available.
Things Required:
– Diploma frame/mat
– Tape measure
– Shadow box

1
If you have several, determine which of your diplomas you want to frame. Consider framing selective graduation announcements, class rings, and graduation pictures as well. Visit a local frame shop and search for specialty frames and mat designs so that you can accommodate more than one item per frame if required.

Check if custom-designed frames are available at a local retailer. If you are planning on framing high school diplomas, consider visiting a local frame shop. Make sure that the design of the frame you choose complements the diploma you are planning to frame.

3
Use a tape measure to determine the dimensions of the diploma you want to frame. If the diploma was printed on a standard sized piece of paper, you can purchase a relatively inexpensive frame. While such a frame will not be as decorative as a custom made frame, it will serve the purpose just fine.

Diplomas that were printed or written in actual ink rather than being digitally printed should preferably be framed with a mat in order to better preserve it. Moreover, you should make sure the inner surface of the glass, or your diploma, has no dust specs before you seal it up. Be careful not to leave finger prints on the glass either.

Alternatively, consider shopping around to find the best specialty frames. Apart from a frame, you should invest in a shadow box so that you can protect documents which you do not want to frame.
