    The visa applicant must be a resident or national of one of the following countries in order to qualify for a tourist visa for Congo:

    Visa Requirements

    The following documents and proofs are required by the embassy along with your application.

    a) Correctly filled in and signed application FORM.
    b) Two recent passport-size PHOTOGRAPHS.
    c) PASSPORT with at least Six (6) months validity.
    d) A copy of RETURN AIR TICKET or photocopy of Ticket confirmation by Travel Agency.
    e) Photocopy of Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
    f) Proof of Hotel Reservation/Accommodation in DR Congo (Only Vouchers are accepted).
    g) A recent Bank Statement or Bill not older than 3 months to prove your residential address in UK.
    h) Pre-paid POSTAGE/ENVELOPE for safe return of your Passport.
    i) Proof of Funds to support your travel (Credit Card statement or a Foreign Exchange receipt).
    j) For any child under 12 years of age, either a Birth Certificate or a Letter of Support signed by the adult traveling with the child.
    k) Proof of the payment of visa fee.

    Visa Fee

    The Fee can only be paid to Barclays Bank (see the account details under the head “Mode of Payment”). The Tourist Visa fee schedule of Congo is as follows:

    a) 1 Month single entry                £60.00
    b) 1 Month multiple entries       £90.00
    c) 2 Months single entry              £100.00
    d) 2 Months multiple entries      £120.00
    e) 3 Months single entry              £140.00
    f) 3 Months multiple entries       £150.00
    g) 6 Months single entry               £180.00
    h) 6 Months multiple entries      £220.00

    The postage expenses are not included in these figures.

    Mode of Payment

    Visa fees can only be paid to Bank to the order of "Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo": Barclays Bank. The details of account are as follows:

    Note:
    a) No postal orders are accepted.
    b) Pay directly to the bank, and make sure that your Full Name appears in the Statement of Account of Embassy.
    c) In case of cancellation of the process by you, you will not be entitled for any reimbursement.
    d) In case of Visa Refusal, fee paid will not be refundable.

    Submission

    Congo Embassy in London accepts Visa Applications via Post. Timings are as follows:
    Opening time for submission:
    Monday to Friday from 09:30AM to 11:00AM

    Processing Time

    Congo Embassy requires 05 to 09 working days to process your application. The applications sent by mail may require 10 to 18 working days to be processed. The documents you submit to examine should not be at counter. To avoid delay in process, please make it sure that you have enclosed all the required documents with your application.

    Visa Collection

    If you have submitted your application by post, you may expect to receive your Visa by the same service. Otherwise contact Congo Embassy in London (see the address above). For collection of your visa directly from Congo Embassy, see the date mentioned on the receipt. You can visit Embassy, exclusively on Wednesday to Friday from 11:00AM to 12:00 Noon to receive your visa.

    Final Check List

    To avoid any delay in the process or the date of departure, you are advised to check following requirements:

    a) All the documents mentioned in Step 1.
    b) Verify the validity of your passport, which must be at least 6 months.
    c) Provide a copy of your schedule of travel and the contact info of your hotel.
    d) Ask from your insurance company to check the capacity of coverage they offer. Do they offer you the coverage to the probable loss of your life and/or luggage?
    e) The date and time of departure before taking your flight.
    f) Your valid Credit Card.
    g) The funds and sources of funds that you may require during your stay in Congo.
