How to Get Council Tax Exemptions In London
Council Tax is that tax which is collected from the residents for the services provided by the local government. The council tax was first introduced in 1993 under the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and it was a replacement for the Community Charge. The council tax is collected by the local borough of each area and the basis and amount of tax depends on the property value. If the value of the property is less, you will have to pay a less amount of council tax and if it is more, then you will have to pay more. Not everyone living in London or UK have to pay council tax as there are some exemptions and discount for a variety of people. All of these exemptions are discussed below.
