How To Get Game Dealers Licence In London
At times Londoners or people from other cosmopolitan cities miss the fun and games of rural life. Amongst these games is bird-hunting, which also known simply as “game”. Many Londoners love the thrill of the game and visit game dealers during seasons to enjoy the wonderful game. Game dealing is a growing industry and more and more people are interested in becoming game dealers and thus, provide a venue for the game. However, it is a regulated industry and the law (The Game Act 1831) makes it compulsory for every game dealer to first acquire a licence before getting started. The licence is issued by the local council of the area.

Game Birds
Certain species of birds are designated by the law as "game birds". These include Red Grouse, Black Grouse, Pheasent and Partridge. -

Seasons in which Game is allowed
Seasons are designated and the game can only be played during these seasons. For Red Grouse (Moor Game) the season spans between the 12th August and 10th December of every year. For Black Grouse (Black Game), the tenure of the season is from 20th August to 10th December of each year. For Pheasant, the seasons for game is from 1st of October to the 1st of February each year. The season for Partridge is from the 1st of September to 1o of February.
Days when the game is not allowed
The game can not be played in off-season. Also, the game can not be played on Christmas Days or Sundays. -

Game Dealers Licence
To go ahead with Game dealing one has to get two licences; one is the Council License the other is Excise Licence.
Council Licence
One has to apply to the local council to get a council licence. It depends on the local council of your specific area to charge a fee or not, and it will then issue a license after processing your application.

It is mandatory by law to also obtain an Excise Licence. It is issued from the Post Office and a council licence has to be obtained before getting this licence.
