Fighting stance is very important position mostly used in martial arts. It is a position that allows an individual to defend himself and move freely at the time of combat. It does not matter whether your opponent is stronger or not, if you are in a fighting stance, you have a really good chance of knocking him out. 1
Make yourself stronger
If you are too weak, then fighting stance will not be able to help you much. Thus, you must make yourself stronger and better. For this, you must plan an appropriate schedule and start doing dry land exercises. Remember that, doing push ups, chin ups, squats and dumbbells is an easy way to get stronger at home. You should make a plan for yourself and do equal sets of these exercises regularly. You can also consider joining the gym after you have observed a significant improvement in your strength. -
2
Stand sideways
After you have strengthened yourself, you must focus on improving the position. Note that, fighting stance plays a vital role in the success of a combat. For this, you must not stand straight, as this position will make you more vulnerable and you will have a very little chance of defending yourself. You must analyse your stronger side and keep that side on the back. For example, if your left arm and kick is stronger, you should place your right side at the front and keep your left side at back. -
3
Bend yourself a little
You must not pressurize yourself as defending and attacking requires a lot of flexibility. Keeping this in mind, you must bend your knees a little and free yourself to move here and there, when required. Standing stiff will not help but it might increase your chances of being defeated. -
4
Keep your hands in a boxing style
In order to defend yourself, you must hold your hands in a boxing position. Not to mention, keeping your hands up similar to a boxer will allow you to defend yourself and your attack will be much stronger. You must keep your hands tight and close to your body as this is a more suitable position.
