How to Get Rid Of a Yeast Infection

Yeast, by definition is basically a fungus scientifically referred to as Canadian. It is present usually on ordinary human skin and in areas where moisture is present, such as the mouth and other moist body parts. Hence we can say that yeast infection is a fungal infection, which can be caused by any Candida species like Candida Albicans. Some types of yeast infections are external and can be found appearing in any part of the body, resulting in itching and burning. You can take some medication and precautions as suggested by your doctor for the treatment. However, it is not too difficult to get rid of yeast infections with some natural ways.

    Yogurt

    Applying yogurt on the affected area is a natural cure for yeast infection as it contains lactobacillus acidophilus, which destroys Candida. You can use plastic tampon to apply yogurt in the infected area.

    Garlic Clove

    Take a peeled clove of garlic wrapped in cheesecloth. Tie it on the infected area for several hours preferably overnight, and continue doing so until the infection is fully cured.

    Tea Tree Oil

    Applying tea tree oil on the affected area can also produce satisfactory results. Use tampon to apply, but it is good to first put on bit of KY jelly to prevent the oil getting absorbed by the tampon.

    Applying Douche

    Mix either 1 tsp. of hydrogen peroxide or 1 tbsp. of vinegar with a cup of water to prepare a douche. Applying douche for atleast once a day can stop the signs of yeast infection.

    Cranberries

    If you eat cranberries or have a glass of cranberries juice, it will result in controlling the PH value of the affected area.

    Acidophilus Tablets

    If you do not find cranberries for instance, then you can also take acidophilus tablets as they are also helpful in getting rid of yeast infection by destroying Candida growth.
