How To Get Sports Ground Safety Certificate In London

Any person who owns a sports ground that has a seating capacity of over 10,000 spectators in England requires a safety certificate. There are two different types of safety certificates. The first one is called general safety certificate which is issued to a sports ground where a specified activity or activities take place for an indefinite period of time. The second type is known as special safety certificate that is granted to a sports ground where specified activity or activities take place either on different occasions, or a specific occasion. People can obtain safety certificates from their local authority if they can obey the conditions attached with the certificate.

    Evaluation of Application:

Following are the things considered during the evaluation of an application:

    - All applicants should provide plans and information that are demanded by the local authority within the specified time, or else their request for the sports ground safety certificate will be rejected.

    - Local council will judge whether or not an applicant is in a position to avoid infringement of the conditions and terms of a certificate.

    - The local council will also send a copy of the sports ground safety certificate application to the chief police officer of the region as well as fire and rescue departments. Then all these bodies will be consulted regarding the terms and conditions they want to include in the certificate.

    - In case of transferring the certificate from one person to another, the local authority will check whether or not the new transferee is eligible for it or not. A copy of application is forwarded to the chief of police of the region, fire and rescue in this case as well.
