    If you want to travel by car with your friend or family then the distance from London to Alton towers is approximately 150 miles and it takes about 3 hours through M1 Motorway, take Northbound M1 and at junction 24 take A453 exit to Nottingham, from this point you will be able to see sign posters indicating directions towards Alton Towers.
