How to Get To the Top of the Eiffel Tower

    Go to the Eiffel Tower

    Before you can go on its top, first you need to be at the Eiffel Tower. Simply hire a cab for doing so or if you hotel or residence is close enough, you can walk there.

    You can also take a train; simply take the Metro Line 3 to Station Champs de Mars-Tour Eiffel.

    Remember to visit the Eiffel Tower when it is open. The timings vary in different months. Remember that elevators run from 9:30 am to 11:45 pm from January 1st to June 12th. The summer hours are 9:00 am to 12:45 am and are effective from June 13th to August 31st.

    From September 1st till December 31st, the elevators are opened from 9:30 am to 11:45 pm.

    Get the tickets

    After reaching the Eiffel Tower, you need to buy the tickets for the elevators. Remember that the tickets to the top level are sold until 9:30 pm whereas tickets to the first and second floors are sold until 10 pm. In addition to this, the ticket prices are dependant on the floor you want to visit and the age of the person.

    Take the elevators

    After getting the tickets, you need to use the elevators to go to the top. However, be prepared to wait for a long time in queues leading to the elevators.

    Climb to the second floor

    You can always climb up to the second floor through stairs. They are open to the public but only till the second floor. You can always use elevators from this level.

    It is better to use these elevators as they might have queues of fewer people in comparison with the lines on the ground floor.

    Enjoy the view

    There are three elevators going to the top but only one or two are working at one time due to security reasons. Remember that the elevators go up every eight minutes. You can go to the second observation deck and see Paris from there.
