    Visa Free entry

    Citizens of the United kingdom have visa free entry into the country. They will be requested to have a valid passport, funds for their stay and proof that they will leave the country after their visit.

    The following countries require do not require visas to enter the country:

    Andorra, Bahrain, Brunei, Chile, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Spain, Taiwan, Uruguay, Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Korea (South), Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Monaco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Kuwait, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland and United States of America

    If you are not a national of any of these countries, you will need to apply for a visa.

    Visa Requirements


    In order to enter Tokelau, you will need a visa to enter NewZealand. From their you can make your way to Tokelau with out any problem.

    a) Valid passport. There should be at least six months before expiration.
    b) Certificate of health
    c) Funds for stay in the country. This will need to be shown in either cash, traveler cheque or bank drafts. A bank statement will also do.
    d) Hotel reservation and receipts.
    e) 2 Photographs
    f) A police report stating that you are not a serious criminal.

    Once you have these documents you can apply for a visa.

    Applying for a visa

    Submission and fees

    The application should be personally delivered to the High Commission by hand. The fee for visa applications is 75 pounds and can be paid in cash or credit card. The offices are open from Monday to Friday and have a timing of 10AM to 3:45PM.

    Processing time

    The visa process can take up to 2 weeks to be processed.

    The visa can be picked up from the embassy once it has been processed and stamped.

    Prohibited items

    New Zealand laws are very strict on illegal workers and you should not take any sort of employment with out the proper paper work. You can bring in basically any item you like unless it is illegal. This includes drugs, firearms and other banned items. Live plants and animals also need to be cleared before moving them across the border.
