1
Comb your cat
In order to give a smooth look to your cat, make sure you comb it regularly. However, you should always use a wide toothed comb, so that you don’t end up hurting your pet. If you don’t have that, you can use a soft hairbrush instead. -
2
Shampoo your cat
Although cats don’t like water, you should shampoo your Russian Blue at least once in a month. This way, its coat will appear quite shiny and it will look even more adorable than normal. It is recommended to use warm water to wash the fur of your cat regardless of the weather conditions. -
3
Use a blow dryer
Once you have shampooed your Russian Blue, it is ideal to blow dry its fur. You can style its hair in different ways during this process. You can also use a towel for this, but the former option is way better. -
4
Remove sticky residue from cat’s eye
If you see any sticky residue in your cat’s eye, you should remove it using a napkin. In this regard, it is ideal to use a damp cloth and ensure that you don't hurt its eye. If you are unaware of how to do this yourself, go to a professional and get your cat’s eye cleaned from him/her. -
5
Trim the claws
Look after your cat’s nails on a regular basis. Don not allow it to over grow the claws. Being a pet, it would not know how to hunt and these claws can cause damage to the cat or the handler. -
6
Brush the cat’s teeth
Although this step is not necessary, you can brush the teeth of your Russian Blue, using a pet toothbrush every one in a while.
