How to Heal Hypothyroidism Naturally
Hypothyroidism is a state in which the human thyroid gland produces less than sufficient thyroid hormone. Hypothyroidism can be caused by many factors, but Iodine deficiency is the most common cause. It can also result from an under-active thyroid gland and is sometimes associated with increased stress as well.
Hypothyroidism, in its initial stages, is asymptotic or can have very mild symptoms. Some of the symptoms include fatigue, increased sensitivity to cold, constipation, weight gain, muscle cramps and joint pain. In the later stages, Goitre is the most common and prominent symptom of hypothyroidism. The only authenticated test to diagnose primary hypothyroidism is to calculate thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). High levels of TSH reveal that the thyroid secretion is insufficient. Medical treatment for hypothyroidism is to treat the patient with levorotatory forms of L-T4 and L-T3. But you can cure this hormonal disease naturally as well.

1
Say no to caffeine and sugar
If your body is showing symptoms of hypothyroidism, reduce or eliminate sugar and caffeine from your daily diet. Also avoid refined carbohydrates, since they also act like sugar after digestion. -
2
Increase protein in your diet
Protein plays a key role in the transportation of thyroid hormone to all parts of your body. Therefore add protein rich foods, like nuts, legumes, white meat, eggs etc, to your daily menu. This will help regulate thyroid functioning. -
3
Get fat
Take more and more fat (not cholesterol). Natural healthy fats include olive oil, ghee, fish, nuts and nut butters, avocados and flax seeds. -
4
Have a look at your nutritional chart
While nutritional deficiency is not considered to cause hypothyroidism, not having sufficient amount of these micronutrients and minerals can worsen the symptoms. So make sure that your daily diet includes vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin D, iron, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, copper, selenium and above all iodine. Omega-3s are found in fish, grass fed animal products, walnuts and flax seeds and are one of the building blocks that control the human immune system and cell growth. -
5
Go 100 percent gluten free
Eating gluten can increase the autoimmune attack on your thyroid gland, so make sure your daily diet does not contain ingredients with gluten. It is mostly found in foods processed from wheat and related grain species, such as rye and barley.
