How to Highlight Hair Using a Cap
Highlights can enhance the look of one’s hairs. There are several saloons that offer the services of applying highlights to your hairs. However, it will be expensive. If one wants to save the money, then they can comfortably apply highlights to their hairs using a cap at home as well. It will not only save you some money, but it will also save your precious time.

– Highlighting powder
– Developer
– Highlighting needle
– Conditioner
– Toner

Purchase all the necessary things from your local beauty store. Make sure that you purchase a highlighting cap according to your liking. There are some highlighting caps that are extremely chunky. If you are looking to add a natural look, then purchase a highlighting cap with a more natural shade. If you are applying highlight regularly to your hairs, then make sure that you purchase all the products in bulk, as it will eventually save you quite some money.

Once you have purchased all the necessary items, start the process. Before getting started, comb your hairs gently. It will ensure that highlights are evenly distributed throughout your hairs, and it will also help pulling your hairs through highlighting cap easily.

Take the highlighting powder and developer, and mix them together in a small bowl. Take the highlighting needle, and pull your hairs in sections through the highlighting cap. Make sure that pull out section gently, and you have all the hairs of that section in order to have an even highlight.

After applying the highlights, allow it to process for around 20 to 30 minutes. Determine their progress by watching them every 10 minutes. Once all the highlights are done, wash your hairs with shampoo.

Inspect all your hairs after washing your hairs. Tone them down if you need to. If the highlights are brighter than your need, you can apply a toner to reduce their brightness. Allow the toner to process for around 10 to 20 minutes. Shampoo your hairs yet again.

Hair processes have the tendency to dry out your hairs. It is recommended that one condition his/her hairs after highlighting. Deep conditioning will be perfect for the hairs. If you have time, try to let the conditioner process for at least half an hour. Otherwise, 10 to 15 minutes would be fine. Rinse your hair after conditioning.
