In the excitement of buying clothes for our children, we do not realise the huge amount of shopping we do every season. This is mostly realised at the time of cleaning attic and then an individual thinks what to do with this stuff. Due to the rapid growth of children, there is hardly a chance that you could use same clothes for two seasons. If you have a lot of stuff in your attic and it is not of your kid’s use anymore, then you can always arrange a consignment sale to earn a few bucks.

Choose a suitable location
The most important thing is to choose a suitable location for your consignment sale. You must make sure that the location you have chosen is spacious enough to arrange the sale properly. If you want to donate the money to any charity organisation then you can ask them as they might be able to give you a nice spot otherwise, you would have to find the location on your own. It is up to you if you want to donate the whole money or a part of it or you want to keep the whole money to yourself. -

Collect items
After you have arranged the spot, you should now start collecting all the items from your attic. Here, you should take out all the clothes that you do not need or which you think can be put out on a sale despite of their little need. Now, you should scrutinise things on the basis of their current condition. You must try to put away all the things that are de shaped or have become obsolete. -

Classify things
After you have gathered all the stock, you must now start classifying them on the basis of their condition and prices you paid to purchase these items. Of course, you do not want to sell an expensive item for a much lower rate, so it is of utmost importance that you should know about the real value of a particular item that will be listed in your consignment sale. -

Advertise your sale
You should also advertise about your consignment sale to get as much attention as possible. This will not only help you in attracting much wider audience but you would be able to sell your things very quickly. You should try to be reasonable with the customers and do not charge too much.
