How to Hydrate Around Your Eyes

The skin around the eyes is thin and when age starts to increase, it is first to wrinkle. It therefore needs special nurturing so that dark circles and dry flakes do not appear there. The basic idea is to keep the skin around the eyes moisturized all the time and perform special yet easy procedures from time to time.

    This one is as simple as it gets. In this day and age, one can be never short of cosmetics, and eye creams are no exception. Select an authenticated cream which not only masks the eye spots and circles, but also heals them.

    Place ice cubes on your eyes

    For instant results, placing ice cubes on the eyes may be the best bet. These cubes not only moisturize the area surrounding the ice, but will also fresh you up.

    Use refrigerated cucumber or potato slices

    If placing ice cubes on the eyes is a bit sensational for you, then go for the commonly used methods of placing cucumber of potato slices on the eyes. Before placing them on the eyes, make sure that they have been refrigerated for about 5 to 8 minutes. Five minutes of this technique and you are good to go.

    Avoid smoking and caffeine

    Smoking and coffee are harmful for the skin and increase the aging process. Make sure that you cut down on your smoking, or leave it altogether, and try green tea or natural herb teas instead of your regular cup of coffee. This will also help you in losing weight, and cleansing the body.

    When a person cries, the salty tears act as natural hydrators for the eye skin. While it is not recommended to cry a lot, you can always do so when you feel like it. If that happens very rarely, they try to induce tears by cutting onions or watching an utterly romantic movie.

    Drink at least 10 glasses of water in a day. This will keep you hydrated and allow your skin to glow.

    Eye makeup is not healthy for the skin, especially if it is not removed immediately after use. Always apply a moisturizer on the eye skin after removing the makeup.
