How to Improve Your Backhand
Tennis is an exciting game and works as a huge source of exercise. Even if you are playing this thrilling sport just for fun, you should always try improving in order to avoid any embarrassment in front of your opponents at the tennis court.
On the other hand, the professionals surely need to enhance their skills to set the standards for others. One can become a good tennis player, only if he/she is strong both at forehand and backhand.
Mastering a backhand shot is not a child’s play, because your forehand is naturally stronger. If you are somewhat weak or ineffectual at backhand, your opponents would not face any difficulty in taking the game away from you. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to improve this stroke.
Things required:

Nothing improves your game, but practice. First of all, you need to iron out the flaws in your stance. Balance is the key, when going for the arm swing.
The first thing that needs be ensured is that your free arm is going away from your body, when you step forward to play the ball. This actually works as a counterbalance, and eventually helps the player put more weight into the swing. Practising this act will make your strokes stronger. -

Throwing your arm at the ball is the worst idea. You must keep your wrist firm all the time, making sure the ball hit middle part of your racket.
Even if you fail to middle the ball, the wrist must stay firm. Otherwise, the racket will twist in your hand and the ball will go off target.
A full swing of the arm is not recommended, even if you are trying to play a strong shot. Try to give nothing more than a punch when connecting the ball. -
3
Present full face of the racket when playing a backhand. One cannot afford to let the head of the racket sink below the level of your wrist. This not only makes your stroke weak, but also reduces control over the volley.

The body strength is equally important. There is no need to focus only on enhancing skills. If your upper body is not physically strong, you will never be able to play good strokes.
Pick up a dumbbell, and start exercising in order to make your arm and shoulder stronger. Consult your gym trainer, when exercising.
